Horizon Validator Rewards and Incentives

Horizon offers a comprehensive reward structure for node operators, designed to incentivize network participation and ensure long-term sustainability.

Reward Structure

  1. Token Allocation

    • A total of 180,000,000 $VEMP tokens have been allocated for distribution to node operators.
    • This allocation will be distributed over a three-year incentivized period.
  2. Transaction Fee Share

    • Node operators additionally receive a share of all transaction fees on the network.
    • The exact percentage will be announced at a later date.
  3. Reward Calculation Rewards are distributed based on several factors:

    • The number of Node License Keys associated with each operator
    • The operator's participation in network operations
    • The total number of active Node License Keys across the network

Reward Distribution

  • Rewards are distributed regularly, with the exact schedule to be announced closer to launch.
  • You can expect distributions to occur on a monthly basis.

Example Reward Calculation

While exact figures will depend on network activity and the total number of active nodes, here's a hypothetical example:

Suppose in a month:

  • The network processes 30 million transactions
  • The average fee per transaction is 0.4 $VEMP
  • Total transaction fees for the month: 12 million $VEMP
  • 25% of fees (3 million $VEMP) are distributed as rewards
  • Monthly reward pool from token allocation: 5 million $VEMP
  • Total monthly rewards: 8 million $VEMP

If you operate a node with 50 Node License Keys, and there are 10,000 total active Node License Keys:

  • Your share: 50 / 10,000 = 0.5%
  • Your estimated monthly reward: 0.5% of 8 million $VEMP = 40,000 $VEMP

Claiming Rewards

  • Rewards are automatically calculated based on your node's performance and the number of Node License Keys held.
  • You'll be able to claim your rewards through a dedicated interface (details to be provided closer to launch).
