Horizon Node License Keys

Our Node License Keys are unique, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that authenticate verified node operators on VEMP's Horizon network. These keys are an essential component of our network security and reward system.

Node License Keys are now available for purchase through our Node Bootstrapping Event with NodeOps. The first 5,000 keys are available at $200 each.

Importance of Node License Keys

Node License Keys serve several crucial functions:

  1. Authentication: They verify the identity and authority of node operators.
  2. Access Control: They grant the right to operate a Horizon Node.
  3. Reward Mechanism: They determine the distribution of network rewards.
  4. Governance Participation: They allow holders to participate in network governance decisions.

Benefits of Owning Node License Keys

Owning one or more Node License Keys provides several advantages:

  1. Network Rewards:

    • Earn a share of transaction fees processed by the network.
    • Participate in incentivized operator rewards programs.

  2. Exclusive Access:

    • Gain priority access to VEMP-built applications and products.
    • Receive partner incentives such as airdrops and whitelists.

  3. Governance Role:

    • Play a vital part in enhancing the network's robustness.
    • Participate in governance-related matters and network decisions.

  4. Scalable Rewards:

    • The more Node License Keys associated with your running node, the greater your share of the overall rewards.

The total supply of Node License Keys is limited to 20,000. This scarcity adds value to each key, while ensuring a balanced distribution of network resources.

Node License Key Characteristics

  • Transferability: Node License Keys are transferable across wallets upon launch. However, there will be no secondary market for these keys until all license keys have been sold out.
  • Delegation: You can delegate node operations to a different wallet than the one holding your Node License Keys. Simply visit delegate.vemp.xyz, enter the wallet address you want to delegate to, and complete the transaction.
  • Minting Flexibility: During the minting process, you can specify an alternate wallet address for operation, separating your minting wallet from your operational wallet.
  • Operation Limit: To maintain network decentralization, there is a maximum limit of 10 Node License Keys that can be used per node operator. Note that while you can purchase more than 10 keys, you'll need separate node operators to utilize them.

Remember, while owning a Node License Key grants you the right to operate a node and earn rewards, your node must be active and participating in network operations to accumulate rewards. Mere ownership of a key is not sufficient for earning rewards.
