This guide will walk you through the process of becoming a Horizon Node operator and maintaining your node.

Becoming a Node Operator

To become a Horizon Node operator, follow these steps:

1. Purchase a Node License Key:

   • Purchase your Node License Key through our Node Bootstrapping Event on NodeOps.
   • You need at least one Node License Key to operate a node and earn rewards.

2. Deploy Your Node:

   • Visit the NodeOps Deployment Console
   • Use the one-click deployment interface to easily set up your node
   • Follow the simple prompts to configure and launch your node
   • No complex technical setup required - NodeOps handles the infrastructure

Managing Your Node

Through the NodeOps console, you can:

1. Monitor Performance:

   • Track your node's uptime and performance metrics
   • View reward accumulation in real-time
   • Monitor network participation status

2. Maintain Your Node:

   • Receive automatic updates through the NodeOps platform
   • Get notifications about important network changes
   • Access support if needed

3. Security:

   • NodeOps provides enterprise-grade security
   • Your keys remain in your control
   • Infrastructure is professionally managed and monitored

Delegating Node Operations

For enhanced security, you can delegate node operations to a different wallet than the one holding your Node License Keys:

1. Visit our delegation platform at delegate.vemp.xyz
2. Connect your wallet holding the Node License Keys
3. Enter the wallet address that will operate your nodes
4. Click the Delegate button and confirm the transaction

This delegation process allows you to:

• Keep your License Keys in a secure cold wallet
• Use a separate hot wallet for day-to-day node operations
• Manage node operations without exposing your key-holding wallet
